Meet the team

The Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to preserving, documenting, and sharing the historical narratives of the Village of Lincoln Heights, Ohio. Through oral histories, preservation efforts, archival research, public education, and community partnerships, the Society works to ensure that the voices, experiences, and contributions of residents, past and present are preserved for future generations.

The Society is governed in accordance with its bylaws, which establish clear leadership roles and responsibilities to support transparency, accountability, and long-term stewardship of the organization’s mission.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees serves as the governing body of the Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society. Trustees hold fiduciary responsibility and provide strategic oversight to ensure the organization operates in alignment with its mission and bylaws.

Taffi Hutchings, President

Taffi Hutchings is a visionary leader, entrepreneur, and dedicated advocate committed to preserving and celebrating the rich legacy of Lincoln Heights. As Founder and President of the Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society, she leads with purpose and care, advancing initiatives that strengthen community pride, encourage civic engagement, and ensure local history is thoughtfully preserved for future generations.

A proud alumna, Taffi graduated from Wilberforce University with a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management, after completing her foundational studies at Cincinnati State Technical College. Her academic achievements underscore her commitment to excellence and personal growth. As an active Toastmaster, Taffi earned both the Competent Communicator and Competent Leader awards, further strengthening her exceptional abilities in leadership, public speaking, and interpersonal communication.

Her leadership is marked by a deep dedication to community empowerment, cultural preservation, and creating meaningful opportunities that highlight the historic significance of Lincoln Heights.

Danay Kennedy, Secretary

Danay Kennedy is an accomplished project management and people operations leader with more than 17 years of expertise spanning federal and private sectors. A Certified Scrum Master with extensive experience in agile methodologies, Danay specializes in strategic talent acquisition, workforce planning, and organizational transformation. She has successfully directed complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives, significantly improving operational efficiency, team alignment, and diversity outcomes.

Danay earned her Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management from Wilberforce University, graduating with honors and maintaining a 4.0 GPA. She also holds professional certifications as a Level II Project Manager and Contracting Officer’s Representative (FAC P/PM-COR II) from the VA Acquisition Academy.

As Secretary of the Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society, Danay applies her exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and strategic insight to ensure effective governance and clear documentation of board activities. Her commitment to preserving Lincoln Heights’ rich heritage and fostering community collaboration continues to advance the Society’s mission with professionalism and purpose.

Gail Johnson Bullard, Treasurer

As the Founding Incorporator and Governance Consultant, Gail is a dynamic leader, entrepreneur, and seasoned financial strategist dedicated to empowering communities through financial education and responsible stewardship. As the owner of Winners Tax Service in Cincinnati, Gail has spent decades transforming financial complexities into clarity, helping countless individuals and businesses achieve economic confidence and sustainability.

With her Executive MBA from Xavier University's Williams College of Business, Gail skillfully blends strategic thinking with heartfelt community service. Her professional excellence in tax strategy, bookkeeping, payroll management, and business consultation positions her as a trusted voice and valuable resource within Lincoln Heights and beyond.

As Treasurer of the Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society, Gail brings financial insight and strategic oversight to the organization, ensuring fiscal responsibility, transparency, and sustainability. Her meticulous attention to financial integrity directly supports the Society's ability to preserve, celebrate, and share Lincoln Heights' vibrant heritage for generations to come.

Leadership & Support Roles

Vice Presidents serve in leadership support roles and assist the Board of Trustees in advancing the mission of the Society. Vice Presidents do not serve as trustees and do not carry fiduciary authority.

James Williams, Vice President of Governance & Strategies

James Williams is a strategic thinker and results-driven leader whose expertise spans business development, organizational governance, and executive-level operations. As a proud alumnus of Harvard Business School, James brings world-class business acumen, disciplined leadership, and a passion for excellence to the Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society’s board.

With a career defined by precision, integrity, and forward-looking strategy, James excels at building strong organizational frameworks, enhancing decision-making processes, and driving initiatives that strengthen community impact. In his role as Vice President of Governance & Strategies, he provides leadership in organizational planning, policy development, and strategic oversight, ensuring that the Society operates with vision and sustainability.

James is deeply invested in preserving heritage, amplifying community pride, and creating pathways for growth and opportunity in Lincoln Heights. His strategic insight and unwavering dedication make him an invaluable force in guiding the Society toward a lasting and impactful future.
