They parked near residential areas and just blocks away from the elementary school, and paraded their hate flags just yards away from the elderly and disabled community, and they were armed with guns, as well as wearing face masks and riot gear. Their presence was met with concern, fear and outrage, as Lincoln Heights has always been a community known for its resilience and determination to stand against those outsiders who seek to cause harm to the people.
The Lincoln Heights Ohio Historical Society was founded to preserve and promote the positive legacy of the village. This event, while deeply troubling, is now part of that history. However, what must be remembered is not only the presence of hate but the strength of the people who stood against it.
